They say that we become our best when faced with adversity.  We agree.  Our  former life came screeching to a halt on June 21st, 2011 due to a life-changing accident.  In the months that followed, it became painfully clear that we would be unable to continue the work of the 27-year remodeling and decorating business that was our livelihood.  It was during this lengthy period of recovery that we also discovered we could now pursue our passion of rescuing, refinishing and restoring furniture.

Through an accident and adversity, a part-time passion became a full-time commitment.  With injuries turning out much more serious than at first glance, a new direction was in order.  I have been given a second chance at life and have found furniture that needed a second chance as well.  Because, if you think about it, furniture is like people:  some have an easier life than others.  Furniture, like people, may be well-built with strong character.  With a little reflection and reinvention, a touch-up here and there can make both stand proud once more.
